Dear Mr President Guy Johnson --- while you are running for the State Legislature --- do you care what is happening to Shorewood businesses ?
The President of the Shorewood Village Board announced in www.Shorewoodnow.com his candidacy for the State Assembly --- an excerpt follows:

Shorewood Village President and community activist Guy Johnson announced that he is running for the Wisconsin State Assembly in District #22. That seat is currently held by Rep. Sheldon Wasserman who is running for the State Senate. "
In my last post to this blog on May 30th, I AGAIN brought up the current situation in Shorewood, with needless NO PARKING signs that hurt Local Businesses --- while there is NO WORK being done --- an excerpt from that post .....
"This week --- AGAIN --- on the 4400 block of North Oakland, which is heavily concentrated with small businesses that rely on walk in traffic --- the street has been marked NO PARKING all week although there has been NO WORK done.
Obviously, when they are working in the area, the construction crews need to have the street cleared of parked cars.
But when they are not working in a retail area --- even if it is for one day only !!!! --- why can't they take the signs down or cover them.
Again --- let me ask of the Village Government --- the Village Board Members --- the Administration ........... do ANY OF YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT THE SMALL BUSINESSES IN SHOREWOOD ???? "
I never heard a response from the Village Board or Administration --- and all last week, in the 4400 block of Oakland, there were NO PARKING signs everyday in front of all the small businesses --- while NO WORK WAS BEING DONE !!!
AGAIN --- Mr President ---- what can you do for Shorewood businesses, while you are running for the State Assembly ??
(In full disclosure, I got a parking ticket when I brought my wife home from knee surgery and elected to park in front of my property so she didn't have to climb stairs.)
