Shorewood is host to a wonderful upcoming event over two days, July 9 & 10, and you're invited! Yes, this is an All Class Reunion, bringing back anyone and everyone who ever attended Shorewood High School. But it is also open to all community, and you are cordially invited. Mark your calendar and make your way to the High School for some world-class alumni entertainment on July 9 and 10th! Shorewood High School's All-Class Reunion and Community Weekend: July 9th and 10th. Friday, July 9th, support the schools, rock the house with a benefit concert starring Shorewood's own Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), David Zucker, Jon Paris, Freddy Bliffert, Larry Theiss, Pete Leshin and Bob Schlaeger. Tickets available now! Then, on Saturday the 10th, at 9am the Schoolhouse Walk begins from the SHS Front Lawn. Registration opens at 8am for anyone not already registered. Every walker gets a free t-shirt! From 12-6 there is a picnic (free of charge) on the grounds with many events and live music planned. 3pm Track races and relays, Tours of the high school, and at 4:30 an Ice Cream Social. Food and beverages available for sale. At 7pm David Zucker will show his movie Airplane! in the Auditorium, for a $5 donation.

July 9, 2010: Benefit Show, Zucker/Harrison/Paris/Bliffert
There is a benefit live music show on July 9th from 7pm to 10pm in the Arena! Musicians from the Classes of 1966/67 include Alumni Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), David Zucker (Airplane, Top Secret, and more), Fred Bliffert, Jon Paris, Larry Theiss, Pete Leshin, and Bob Schlaeger. Tickets are $75 and proceeds will go to benefit Shorewood Schools (State budget cuts have severely affected the budget, causing an $800,000 shortfall for next year). There will be 600 tickets sold for this once-in-a-lifetime chance to see this All-Star band! Register for tickets online at http://www.shorewoodalumni.org or download this easy form to mail in with a check! Proceeds go to Shorewood Schools. A limited-edition concert tshirt is available for $10 in advance and $20 at the concert. Refreshments will be served in the Youth Center.
July 10, 2010: SHS All Class Reunion & Community Picnic!
Schedule of Events:
9AM: Schoolhouse Walk! Free tshirt for all walkers! The Volunteer Alumni Marching Band will lead the walk, which will work its way from the High School to the Intermediate School, up Morris Blvd. to Lake Bluff Elementary School, up Lake Bluff to Maryland, and over to Atwater School, then back to the High School. Families, friends, and alumni will join together, sing the pep song (music will be provided), and be greeted en route and at the schools with tours, refreshments and live music at each school. Pre-Registration is $15 Adults, $10 kids, $25 for families up to 5, and $50 for a Team of 6 adults. Benefits Shorewood Schools.
12NOON - 6PM: Picnic at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive.
Picnic is free of charge and all are welcome!
Sponsored by the Shorewood Alumni Association, this free event will be an open house for Shorewood High School campus that is open to all, and a reunion for all graduating classes (from 1925 to 2010!) of Shorewood High School. or will attend or raised children who attended Shorewood High School! The front lawn will feature live family friendly entertainment all day, food and beverages for sale by the PTOs of Shorewood, Atwater and Lake Bluff gear for sale, and many booster clubs and interests that support Shorewood Schools. The new collaborative effort between Sweet Water Organics and the Shorewood Charter School Farmer's Market will offer organic vegetables for sale, and MKELocalicious will also have healthy food offerings. Alumni-owned businesses will also sponsor tables. (Contact email@example.com to be a part!).
The softball field will transformed into the beer garden with a music stage featuring the Marcell Guyton (1984), the Kevin Paris band (alumni Class of 2006) and Eric Everett (1984); and food and beverages available for sale! D2D, Athletic booster gear and more will be available there!
Family Entertainment on the Front Lawn is going to be exciting! Nationally recognized entertainers and alumni Miss Lori's Campus and Animal Party by Eric Everett (1987, 1984 respectively) are donating their time and enthusiasm, plus youth yoga by Janet Reinhoffer! 3pm Races on the Track allow you to sponsor a runner, or a Class Relay team at 3:30! Come and cheer them on! (registration $3 includes bib numbers. BYO Baton of any style). Tours of the School by faculty and staff experts: Dr. Blane McCann's Highlights at Noon, Al Thien's Tunnel Tour at 2, and Barbara Gensler leads the Drama Tour at 4pm. Ice cream social at 4:30 on the Front Lawn!
7PM: Screening of Airplane! in the Shorewood High School Auditorium, introduction by David Zucker. Suggested $5 donation to the schools. Celebrate the 30th Reunion of this Movie!
