Army Reserve Pvt. Beth Ann Farvour has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. Farvour is the daughter of Carol and Wayne Farvour of Mequon. She is a 2010 graduate of Homestead High School in Mequon.

Tim Reinholz of Mequon and Hannah Thompson of Whitefish Bay are two of the four winners of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra's Janet Fleming Ruggeri Memorial Scholarship Competition for Young Violists. Timothy is a sophomore at Homestead High School. In his fifth year of playing in MYSO ensembles, he is currently a member of MYSO's Senior Symphony. Hannah is a sophomore at Whitefish Bay High School. A member of MYSO's Senior Symphony, Hannah has been a member of MYSO for three years.

Mike Arnow of Fox Point has been named in the Nov. 10, 2011, Medical Economics as one of the 100 Best Financial Advisers for Doctors. Arnow is a certified public accountant with a master's degree in business administration and a certified financial planner professional with Sattell, Johnson, Appel Financial Advisory.

Jennifer Kexel Grube, a 1996 graduate of Homestead High School, has opened her own practice, specializing in stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, assertiveness, and grief and loss, within Sherman Consulting professional counseling services in Appleton. Grube is a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor who earned her master's degree in guidance and counseling, with an emphasis in community counseling, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and her bachelor's degree in psychology from UW-Oshkosh.
