A 24-year-old Grafton man was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, after police saw him weaving in traffic and then racing on to Interstate 43 from Brown Deer Road at 1:15 a.m. Dec. 23. His blood-alcohol content was 0.12.
A wallet was taken from an office at Rite Hite YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, the afternoon of Dec. 7. More than $1,500 was charged to the victim's credit card at the Brown Deer Target before the theft was discovered. Another charge of more than $300 was rejected. Target said it doesn't check IDs or make customers sign for their purchases.
A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after he was found slumped over in his car in a driveway in the 8400 block of North 68th Street at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 15. Police found the man "surrounded in fresh vomit." When asked about the vomit on his clothing and inside his car he said, "Dude, I don't even remember puking." His BAC was 0.11.
A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana, texting while driving and driving while suspended after a 911 call reporting a possible drunken driver in the 4400 block of West Schroeder Drive about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 15. The man had 0.9 grams of marijuana in his possession.
• An 18-year-old Brown Deer man, arrested by Brown Deer police Dec. 16, is a suspect in a number of thefts from cars reported in Glendale on Dec. 11 and 12. When arrested, items taken from Glendale cars including a GPS unit, sunglasses, a purse and credit cards were found in his car.
Two Milwaukee women, 28 and 46, were arrested for theft of items valued at $300 from Old Navy, 9094 N. Green Bay Road, at 7 p.m. Dec. 18. The older woman was also arrested for a warrant and obstruction. She gave a false name so she wouldn't be arrested for the warrant.
A hit-and-run driver hit a parked car causing $500 damage in the 9000 block of North Green Bay Road about 2:45 p.m. Dec. 20.
A 13-year-old River Hills girl was cited for theft of a cell phone at Maple Dale Middle School, 8377 N. Port Washington Road, about noon Dec. 16. The girl admitted taking the phone from another girl's locker. It was returned to the owner.
A 44-year-old Bayside man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, unregistered vehicle and littering in the 7800 block of North Port Washington Road at 9 p.m. Dec. 16. The man was seen throwing a cigarette out of his window and when he opened his car door to pick it up, a gun that appeared to be a semi-automatic was visible next to him. The man quickly told police, "It's a toy. It doesn't work." It was a metal BB gun which the man said he keeps because he works "in a bad area." He also had a replica of a police badge in his wallet.
A burglary was reported at North Shore Bistro, 8649 N. Port Washington Road, early morning Dec. 17. A tire iron was used to break a window to gain entry. The iron was found inside the restaurant along with broken glass and a broken bottle of vodka. About $100 was taken.
A 14-year-old Bayside boy was arrested for possession of 0.1 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a tube with residue, found in his locker at Nicolet High School, 1701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, about noon Dec. 17. He told police he didn't know those things were in his locker.
A 26-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested on felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver while armed and a 23-year-old West Allis man and a 20-year-old Arizona man were arrested on a municipal charge of possession of marijuana after a report of a suspicious odor at La Quinta Inn and Suites, 5423 N. Port Washington Road, at 10 p.m. Dec. 18. A number of bags of marijuana with a total weight of more than 370 grams were found in the room and a smaller amount in the Wauwatosa man's car. "I'm just a stupid (expletive) pot head," he told police, adding that the drugs belonged to him, not the other two men. An undisclosed amount of money was found in his suitcase along with a handgun. Another gun was found in his car.
A 62-year-old Bayside woman was arrested for drunken driving after a report of an erratic driver northbound in the 7400 block of I-43 at 2 a.m. Dec. 19. The woman said she had 3 or 4 glasses of wine. Her BAC was 0.12.
A burglary was caught on surveillance video at Pier 1 Imports, 6010 N. Port Washington Road, at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 21. A rock was used to break a large window to gain entry. The suspect is seen opening a register drawer and kicking in the doors of two offices. Nothing was reported taken.
A 35-year-old Burlington man was arrested for drunken driving, with four prior convictions, possession of heroin and driving after revocation when he was found passed out in his truck in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 21. The man admitted taking prescribed pain medication and also, when asked, using recreational drugs. He had recently shot up heroin and tried to hide a needle under his leg.
A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after getting into a fight with a 24-year-old woman, both employees, at Samurai Restaurant, 6969 N. Port Washington Road, at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 22. The victim allegedly made a joke about the suspect's boyfriend and that started the fight. Witnesses said the suspect hit the victim numerous times in the head.
No reportable incidents
Two 19-year-old Milwaukee men, arrested in Milwaukee, were suspects in a robbery of two women in the 1800 block of North Woodruff Avenue at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 18. The men grabbed the women's purses and fled.
The theft of $500 was reported from a kindergarten room at Atwater School, 2100 E. Capitol Drive sometime between Dec. 13 to 20.
A 29-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman both of Shorewood were arrested for disorderly conduct and the woman also for underage drinking after a report of music blaring in the 4500 block of North Woodruff Avenue at 1:15 a.m. Dec. 20.
A burglary was reported in the 4500 block of North Marlborough Drive from 4 to 9 p.m. Dec. 20. There was sign of forced entry to a rear door.
Seven cell phones valued at $1,500 were taken from a basement room during an event in the auditorium at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, before 9:30 p.m. Dec. 20.
An unlocked garage was entered and a car broken into but nothing taken in an alley behind a home in the 3900 block of North Maryland Avenue on Dec. 20 or 21. Damage to the car was $300.
Two Milwaukee men, 32 and 41, were arrested for burglary at the Channel 6 tower, 1100 E. Capitol Drive, at 12:40 a.m. Dec. 21. Police were alerted when the men were seen on surveillance video shutting power to a cooling unit and draining it in order to steal the copper. Channel 6 reportedly lost power for a short time.
A cell phone valued at $450 was taken from a jacket at Shorewood High School, 1701 East Capitol Drive, before 7 p.m. Dec. 21.
A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man both of Wauwatosa were arrested for underage drinking and disorderly conduct after noise complaint at Menlo Boulevard and Oakland Avenue at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 22. The woman was asked at least 10 times to be quiet but she kept screaming.
A 20-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a Schedule IV narcotic and for absolute sobriety after the car he was driving was stopped in the 4500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 3:50 a.m. Dec. 19. A female passenger, 19, of Milwaukee, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and underage drinking. The couple had more than 3 grams of marijuana.
Cash, jewelry, a DVD player and other items were taken from the 5100 block of North Elkhart Avenue sometime Dec. 20. A back door had been forced open.
A 15-year-old Whitefish Bay boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after getting into an argument with a relative and breaking a glass candle holder in the 4700 block of North Woodruff Avenue at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 21.
A 42-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test at Maitland Court and Day Avenue at 8:50 p.m. Dec. 22.
Jewelry, a big screen TV and other items were taken from the 400 block of East Lexington Avenue on Dec. 23 or 24. A rear door had been forced open.
More than $450 was taken from a woman's purse during a party at her home in the 4800 block of North Anita Avenue on Dec. 25. The woman said her purse was in an upstairs bedroom and her 20 to 30 guests had access to that room.
A 40-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for disorderly conduct and mailed a citation for criminal damage to property after he hit two cars with an unknown object causing minor damage in the area of Birch and Shoreland avenues around 4 p.m. Dec. 26. In one incident, the suspect chased after a car and hit it with a "cane-like object." In the other incident, the suspect ran down a driveway in the 100 block of East Birch Avenue and hit another car. The suspect, when arrested, only admitted hitting one car.
