1A purse was taken from an unlocked car while the owner was working out at Snap Fitness, 4301 W. Bradley Road, the evening of Feb. 23. Two credit cards were used to buy gasoline before the theft was discovered. The purse and credit cards were found scattered in the 3800 block of West Fountain Avenue and the wallet in a mailbox a block away Feb. 27.
2A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for driving while suspended after making an illegal U-turn in the 4600 block of West Brown Deer Road at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 26. The man, who said he was from Peru, was not a citizen and did not have a green card. He declined having the Peruvian Consulate notified.
3A resident heard a "loud thud" coming from her living room in the 4200 block of West Hawthorne Trace Road at 11 p.m. Feb. 26. She found the glass on a patio door broken and footsteps in the snow.
4A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, driving while suspended, refusal to take a breath test and speeding 98 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 5000 block of West Brown Deer Road at 4:45 a.m. Feb. 27. The man admitted having a half-pint of alcohol an hour before and was speeding because he was in a hurry to get back "to the hotel." He failed field sobriety tests and denied drinking. When told he had already admitted that he had been drinking, he said he didn't remember.
5A cell phone valued at $300 was taken from a jacket in an employee room at Old Country Buffet, 6538 W. Brown Deer Road, the evening of Feb. 27. The victim said she was told the room was always locked but a manager told police the room is supposed to be locked but not always, and employees are told to keep valuables in locked lockers.
6Two Milwaukee men, 55 and 60, were arrested for theft and trespassing after attempting to take salt from the Fox Point Department of Public Works, 7300 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 1 p.m. Feb. 26. The men entered the property, one carrying a shovel and the other a garbage can. They admitted looking for salt to help a relative with his car. They also said they couldn't find salt so they took top soil.
7A 21-year-old Port Washington man was arrested for theft from his employer Calderone Club, 8001 N. Port Washington Road, at 8 p.m. Feb. 26. The man, a delivery driver, was out delivering $48 worth of food but never came back. He was contacted and turned himself in March 1 admitting he kept the money because he had not been paid.
8A 53-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for drunken driving after his car was reported in a ditch in the 8600 block of North Regent Road at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 26. The man said he was on his way to a Bayside food store and admitted having two drinks two hours before. His blood alcohol content was 0.22.
9A 28-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for theft of a cell phone valued at $130 from Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at noon Feb. 28. The man was seen taking the package into a bathroom. The wrapper was found there. When arrested, he denied the theft even when the phone was found in his pocket.
10Two Shorewood females, 17 and 21, were arrested for theft of clothing valued at $273 from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 3 p.m. Feb. 25. The women carried large purses and took clothing into a fitting room. When they left, the clothes were gone. They were stopped as they left the store.
11A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for speeding 55 mph in a 30 mph zone and running a red light in the 5500 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 26. His BAC was 0.21.
12A 13-year-old Cedarburg girl and a 14-year-old Glendale girl were arrested for theft of jewelry valued at $314 from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 2 p.m. Feb. 26. The girls took jewelry into a fitting room. After they left, the jewelry was gone and the tags left behind. They were stopped as they left the store with the jewelry in their pockets.
13A 42-inch TV, a laptop computer and a camera with a total value of more than $1,000 was taken from the 4600 block of North River Park Boulevard from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 26. Entry was gained through an unsecured window. Footprints were found outside the window and then more footsteps going up to the back of every house on the east side of the block.
14A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and open intoxicants after a 911 call reporting a woman passed out in her car in the middle of Vera and Seville avenues at 5:10 a.m. Feb. 27. The car was in gear and running with doors locked. Police finally got her attention but not before her car rolled forward and backward. She admitted drinking with friends and taking sips out of a water bottle which had alcohol in it. She also said she was on her way to pick up her children. Her BAC was 0.14.
15A 21-year-old De Pere man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to stop for a squad car and speeding in excess of 90 mph in a 55 mph zone in the 5800 block of Interstate 43 at 2:30 a.m. March 1. The man exited the freeway and was arrested in Milwaukee. He admitted having six or seven beers. His BAC was 0.10.
16A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft from Erehwon Mountain Outfitter, 599 W. Glen Bay Ave., at 2 p.m. March 1. The man took jackets and shirts valued at more than $600 and drove away but was caught at Port Washington and Bender roads. He also had 20 shirts valued at $445 taken from Banana Republic and 20 shirts valued at $495 taken from The Gap.
17A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of items valued at $690 from Sears, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, at 7:45 p.m. March 2. He said he was going to sell the clothes because he had no job and needed the money for his children.
18A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after he drove erratically and hit a curb in the 2300 block of West Good Hope Road at 1:15 a.m. March 3. He failed field sobriety tests including reciting the alphabet. His BAC was 0.19.

19Two Shorewood males, 17 and 18, were found to be under the influence of marijuana at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, at 1 p.m. Feb. 12. They admitted smoking the drug over their lunch break.
20A 34-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for driving under the influence after weaving in traffic in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue at 12:45 a.m. Feb. 25. He was taken for a blood draw.
21A 24-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and drunkenness after he pounded and kicked at a door in the 2500 block of East Menlo Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 26. The man thought he was at his friend's house which was actually three blocks away.
22A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after he was stopped for no license plates in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue at 6:30 p.m. March 2. What appeared to be marijuana seeds and stems were found "all over his car" and the case is under investigation.
23An 18-year-old UWM male student was arrested for underage drinking after he was found lying in an alley in the 2400 block of East Stratford Court at 11:30 p.m. March 3. He admitted to drinking.
24A digital media player valued at $300 was taken from a backpack in the boys locker room at Shorewood High School at 8 p.m. March 3.
25A warrant for a parole/probation violation was issued for a 56-year-old Milwaukee man who approached a woman and entered her home in the 700 block of East Sylvan Avenue about 2 p.m. March 1. The man asked the woman if he could shovel her walk, take her to dinner and cut her hair. He left saying he'd be back at 7 p.m. with his business card. The man was involved in a similar incident in Whitefish Bay on Feb. 18. A no contact order was issued at that time.
26A 20-year-old West Allis man was arrested for possession of marijuana, drunken driving, driving without a license and operating without insurance at Hampton Road and Santa Monica Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. March 4. His BAC was 0.12.
27A 53-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving with a prior conviction, operating without insurance and suspended registration in the 200 block of East Hampton Road at 2 a.m. March 4. His BAC was 0.14.
