1Five 14-year-olds, both boys and girls from Bayside and Fox Point, were cited for trespassing and curfew violation after they were found on the roof of Bayside Middle School, 601 E. Ellsworth Lane, at 2:19 a.m. July 14. The North Shore Fire Department responded to help police get the children off the roof. The children were released to their parents.
2A resident reported being followed by a coyote while walking on West Brown Deer Road near Interstate 43 at 6 a.m. July 22.
3A car window was shattered in the 9100 block of North Park Plaza Court on July 13 or 14. The car was not locked and nothing was taken, including a GPS unit mounted on the windshield. Damage was estimated at $200.
4A car window was shattered in the 9400 block of North Green Bay Road on July 13 or 14. Damage was estimated at $200.
5A 41-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for violation of a residence restriction in the 8000 block of North Cedarburg Road on July 15. The man, a registered second-degree sexual offender of a child, was notified in April he had to move since his residence was within 1,500 feet of Brown Deer Park.
6A 17-year-old Brown Deer boy was arrested for substantial battery after attacking an 18-year-old Milwaukee man in the 8200 block of North Teutonia Avenue at 10 p.m. July 17. Injuries to the victim's face required 22 stitches. The suspect used his cell phone to post messages on Facebook both before and after the attack saying the man had tried to kiss his girlfriend and called her a derogatory name. After his arrest, he told police the attack was "childish."

• A resident reported her Social Security number was used fraudulently July 19 to acquire credit cards in the state of Oregon, where she had once lived.
7A forged prescription for promethazine with codeine was filled at CVS Pharmacy, 8661 N. Port Washington Road, at 9 a.m. July 19.
8Two Milwaukee women, 51 and 26, were arrested for theft from their employer, Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5 a.m. July 13. The women worked third shift and were seen eating chocolate bars that the younger woman took from a display and shared with her co-worker. The younger woman also admitted to taking items from the store over the past eight months, including lingerie and cologne worth more than $300. She told police she was "just doing what she heard others were doing."
9Two women, 20 and 21, of Oak Creek and Lombard, Ill., were arrested for theft of 34 items valued at $474 from Sears, 5400 N. Port Washington Road, at 12:30 p.m. July 15. The women, students at Cardinal Stritch University, entered a fitting room with empty purses and piles of clothing from display tables and other clothing on hangers. They left with filled purses, leaving behind the items from display tables now on hangers. An employee called to them to stop but they drove off and were arrested a few blocks away in Whitefish Bay.
10Two 17-year-old Milwaukee girls were arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance in The Children's Place, 5664 N. Bayshore Drive, at 2 p.m. July 16. They were returning items without a receipt and became angry when it took too much time. One said to an employee, "(Expletive), I'm going to slap you" and then threw dozens of shirts on the floor. The girls drove away and when stopped were arrested for disorderly conduct. In addition, one was cited for driving with a suspended license and no insurance and the other on a warrant.
11Two cars were broken into at La Quinta Inn, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, on July 16 or 17. A digital media player and charger valued at more than $500 were taken from one car and a stereo valued at $200 from the other. Damage to each car was estimated at $200.
12A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a switchblade, possession of a controlled substance while armed and driving after revocation after a report that a man was armed at IPic, 5800 N. Port Washington Road, at 5 p.m. July 18. The man said he used the switchblade at work and did admit he had a gun in his car. Police found a loaded .22-caliber revolver with a spent casing and an additional 34 rounds in the car along with 2 grams of marijuana. The man said he knew it was illegal to have a loaded gun in his car but said he'd been robbed a few months before.

13Two 20-year-old Milwaukee women were arrested for theft from Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 1 p.m. July 17. The woman loaded up a cart with alcohol and groceries valued at $332 and exited through the entrance door. They were stopped in the 1800 block of East Jarvis Street and all items were recovered.
14Police took a 56-year-old Milwaukee man to a hospital after he was seen walking with his hand bleeding badly on Capitol Drive at Oakland Avenue at 7 p.m. July 18. The man said he purchased a bottle of wine and had to break it open because he didn't have a corkscrew and that's when he cut his hand.
15A GPS unit valued at $200 was taken from a car in the 1900 block of East Capitol Drive during the day July 20. Damage to a window was estimated at $200.
16A bicycle valued at $500 was taken from the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue on July 20 or 21.
17A bicycle valued at $400 was taken from the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue between 5 and 9 p.m. July 23.
18A 62-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to yield and using an unauthorized plate in the 200 block of East Hampton Road; he was stopped in the 5100 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:45 a.m. July 20. His BAC was 0.14.
19A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for a defective taillight in the 4700 block of North Wilson Drive at 12:15 a.m. July 24. His BAC was 0.12.
20A 36-year-old Wauwatosa man was mailed a disorderly conduct citation after he got into a verbal confrontation with a resident in the 4700 block of North Cramer Street at 6:45 p.m. July 24. The resident said the man was a "junk scavenger" and was disorderly when approached.
21A "Deep Tunnel Flush Zone" sign was removed from village property in the 4700 block of North Idlewild Avenue at 7:30 p.m. July 24.
22A 31-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for drunken driving in the 500 block of East Day Avenue at 2:45 a.m. July 25. His BAC was 0.13.
