Milwaukee Bucks plan summer camps for youth
The Milwaukee Bucks are offering a series of summer basketball camps for boys and girls in grades two through eight.
Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. as follows: Monday to Thursday, Heritage Christian School in West Allis; and Aug. 3 to 6, at Nicolet High School in Glendale.
The camps will be directed by Aaron Sovern, who has directed youth basketball camps for more than 13 years. The camps' priorities will be confidence building, sportsmanship, academic encouragement, team play and basic basketball skill development.
The camp fee of $150 includes a Bucks practice jersey, a basketball, a free ticket to a 2009-10 Bucks preseason and regular-season home game, a visit from a Bucks player, former player or assistant coach during the week, Bucks prizes, an online photo with camp team and coach, a certificate and awards ceremony and 2009-10 Bucks special offers and benefits.

The Jim Gosz Basketball Camps will be held Monday to Thursday at Blessed Sacrament School, Milwaukee.

Summer basketball camps set for August
The Roney Eford Basketball Academy is offering two summer co-ed basketball camps: from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3 to 7 at University School of Milwaukee; and from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 10 to 14 at the Jewish Community Center of Milwaukee. Both camps are for grades K4 through 12.

Milwaukee Wave sets Greendale soccer camps
The Milwaukee Wave will conduct a summer soccer camp at Greendale's Highland View School.
The camp runs Aug. 3 to 7 and offers a mini-kickers program for children ages 4 through 6 as well as the choice of either a half-day or full-day camp for individuals ages 7 through 15. This is the only soccer camp that offers personalized instruction from professional Milwaukee Wave players.
Each camper will receive a soccer ball, a camp T-shirt, a Wave of Value Card with discounts to a variety of places and/or events, a ticket to two select Wave home games and a certificate of participation.
