Bay's Casey having productive summer for Oaks
Former NOW Newspapers All-Suburban baseball player David Casey of Whitefish Bay is having a good summer for the Conejo Oaks in the California Collegiate League.
Most recently, Casey, who will return for his junior year this fall at Notre Dame, helped the Oaks (26-20) rally for a 9-5 win over the Urban Youth Academy Barons.
Casey, a first baseman, gave the Oaks the lead for good with a two-run homer in the fourth, his fifth of the season. It capped a stellar night for Casey, who had three extra base hits, six RBIs and one run scored.
In another win over the Barons the next night, Casey contributed a three-run double.
