Free Summer Saturdays Coed Boot Camp With Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp

May 12, 2011

What’s more fun than Saturdays in summer? Start the day off with an awesome (and fun) free workout with Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp (MABC). Held in park settings, free one-hour sessions in May, June, July, August and September 2011 have now been scheduled, announced MABC owner, certified fitness trainer and certified boot camp coach Catherine Andersen.

The free boot camps, appropriate for all fitness levels, will be held on the dates and locations listed below. Free camps are offered to give those interested in “boot camp”-type workouts a taste for what it’s like before committing to a 4-week program.

In addition, parent company of MABC, Achieve Personal Fitness, Inc., is offering special training sessions to help those who plan to participate in this summer’s Tough Mudder (near Madison, July 23- 24, toughmudder.com) and the Warrior Dash (Twin Lakes, September 17-18, warriordash.com) challenge events held this summer and early fall in Wisconsin.

“This training is focused more on Achieve’s indoor small group and semi private training model but is perfect for preparing for these special fitness events,” says Andersen. “Too many people are still using running as the benchmark of being physically fit; we want our community to know that physical fitness is comprised not only of cardio endurance but of muscular endurance and muscular strength. The super fun and effective Tough Mudder and Warrior Dash sessions are programmed around all three aspects of physical fitness.”

Registration is required since the sessions are kept smaller for more personal attention and safety.

“We cover all the elements of a complete workout – dynamic warm up, mobility and corrective exercise, fat burning cardiovascular and resistance training, and toning exercises and stretching – all in one hour,” said Andersen. “Plus we make sure our camps provide a fun group experience, personal attention and motivating activities that allow campers to work out at their own fitness levels. Free camps let participants sample the full program of our year-round boot camps. “Stop working harder for little results… just workout right!” says Andersen.
