LeRoy Butler to Appear Saturday, June 13, at Shorewood Monarchs Home Opener
The Ironman Football League is proud to announce its newly formed partnership with ex-Packer great and Super bowl champion, LeRoy Butler. The goal of this new venture is to increase awareness and raise money for the fight against breast cancer through the LeRoy Butler Foundation.
The mission at the LeRoy Butler Foundation is to help women who are going through breast cancer treatment to obtain the assistance they need to focus on the job of healing verses the financial impact to their families.
The Ironman Football League will donate a dollar from each ticket at select games throughout its 2009 season to support Breast Cancer awareness and aid the LeRoy Butler Foundation. LeRoy Butler, himself and several other ex-Packer greats will play in active role on game days as they will be available in the booth throughout the IFL season to autograph visitor’s memorabilia for an additional $10 dollars per item at select IFL games. There will also be signed Packer memorabilia available to fans for sale at select IFL games. The proceeds from the autographs will go towards the LeRoy Butler foundation.
With help from John Mandella, owner of JC Healthier Supplements/league sponsor, the IFL was previously able to sit down with LeRoy Butler to discuss the partnership and other future ventures. One of the things that caught the ex-Packer’s eye during the meeting was how professional the Ironman Football League presented itself. “I'm very impressed with how the league is structured and the professional standard that it stands by.” Butler said. “From the start I couldn't help but think this league is special. The league's management is definitely on the right path"
IFL CEO Chris Chudada said that he is very thrilled with the partnership and excited about possible other future ventures. “We are extremely excited to have LeRoy and the LeRoy Butler Foundation involved with the Ironman Football League.” Chudada said. “I think these are both great organizations working together for a great cause.”
The tremendous reputation and playing venues of the Ironman Football League surprised LeRoy as the ex-Packer great is eager to watch the league in action up close. "I'm looking forward to watching some great football being played at these great stadium venues.” Butler replied, “It's extraordinary to see that the IFL has acquired some of the best playing venues in the state, it sure says a lot about the leagues creditability."
As part of the “IFL Kickoff ’09 Campaign” LeRoy Butler will be on hand to sign autographs during the Shorewood Monarchs vs. Wauwatosa Spartans Week 3 game on June 13th at
Shorewood High School in Shorewood, Kickoff is set for 7PM. The locations and dates of other Packer autograph appearances throughout the season will be announced on the league website on a later date.
